With Christmas just around the corner I wanted to tell you about a few new things in stock. It’s been a busy fall collecting materials in the midst of covid with supply issues. Although some items won’t be here in time (terrazzo for the little tables…sob). Many other suppliers went over and above to get me the things I needed. Thank you Gordon Fabrics and The Clockery! I also made a few new things to fill in the gaps.
The main focus has been preparing for the Merry Market at 100 Kellogg from Dec 2nd to 19th in
London Ontario. Click here for more info. This will be the first in person show since returning to work this year. Since the show is running up so close to Christmas I decided to add some items for dinnertable setup alongside my regular items for gifts. Enter, the candleholders. Made in two styles in sizes of 5, 3 and 2 candles, these holders were super fun to design and make. The beautiful spalted maple naturally takes the stage creating an interesting blend of rustic elegance. The large 5 holder creates a centre anchor for a dinnertable spread or an extravagant show on the mantle. White tapers included.
As part of the dinnertable display that will be setup at the show, I’ll be offering vintage dish sets and glassware in a variety of colours and textures. As you know I love using preloved items and am always looking for unusual pieces. Pairing them with my own work made perfect sense and helps to balance out the overabundance of “stuff” in our culture. Giving new life.
Since the terrazzo tables won’t arrive in time for Christmas. I decided instead, to create a theme around stools and benches. I’m calling this style, “together”. As we anticipate a more normal holiday this year many people will be reuniting after many months apart. This is something to be cherished more now than ever. There’s room at the table for everyone. Squeeze on to the bench, pull up a stump stool. We will be together at last.

Items perfect for gifts include all the accessories. Whether its a small token of love like a zippered pouch or a new handbag there are several options to choose from. Linen bags, circle bags, and waxed canvas. I’ve also found a way to bring back the ever popular flag pillows, sourcing a new linen fabric for them. Along with a few other pillow designs a new men’s pillow (yes there is such a thing!) will debut. One side is wrapped in whisky waxed canvas and the other in “Gatsby” suiting. At 12×18 it’s the perfect lumbar support or arm prop. My husband who loathes throw pillows, loves these. 🙂

Last but not least, the Gallery Wall Collection will be on display for the first time EVER! In the works since the spring, this project is a beautiful display of local art. Contrasting sizes, colours and textures emanate energy and life while melding together as one unit. Made up of 6 images custom framed in maple, it’s a must see. The quality archival finish will last and keep it’s vibrant colour. Artwork available for purchase together or individually.
And that about wraps it up. I nearly forgot to mention the terrazzo wall clocks and stained glass mirror. All these items will be available in the online store in the new year. If there is an item you would like to purchase now and pickup locally or have shipped email me at suzannefaris@gmailcom
Have a very Merry Christmas, Suzanne

You’ve really expanded your offerings this year! I would love to buy a Canada pillow from you next time you’re out to Alberta.
