New Store

So very excited to announce the opening of my first storefront right here in St. Thomas! Ever since I started sewing pillows back in 2015 I have dreamt of having a shop but didn’t think it would be possible. But I’ve been keeping my eye on the market and the right building came up at the right time. Oh wow did I fall in love with this little place.

Hello 576 Talbot Street

Renovations began right away upon my return from One of a Kind. I literally backed the truck up and unloaded all the show goods fresh from the road. We gave a new coat of paint to the ceiling and walls, unearthed the original hickory wood floor, added new lighting and several other special touches. I love old buildings and this one has all the things!

What is a working storefront?

I’m calling this space a working storefront. Meaning, not only will it sell retail but it also serves as a studio for production creation. The front will be the showroom/store for all the home goods, art and accessories. The centre section will house a large table which will be used for fabric cutting and class space. And the rear section will be a dedicated sewing and leather studio. Rather than close off these workspaces, I decided to leave them partially visible from the front which gives more interest to the shoppers and shows their items being made right on site. I will also be offering classes on a bi-monthly basis so keep an eye out for more info on that!

Grand Opening

The grand opening is on Saturday May 21st. 10am – 5pm You’ll find us at 576 Talbot Street St. Thomas, just down from Legends. There will be studio tours, a draw for free goods, class signups, refreshments and of course browsing of all the new products. Please share and bring your family and friends!

Off to work on some shelving. Oy I have a ton of things to do before the 21st! You can watch the progress on my stories. See you there 🙂
