Classes

Today we get to talk about classes. This is the first time I have offered classes on my projects. I’m super excited! These are taking place in person at the new store in St. Thomas, Ontario. I designed the space with a huge table specifically for gathering people together to create beautiful things. I’m scheduling three this summer with plans to include a danish cord weaving class in the fall. See below for class descriptions, these are all available to sign up on the site.

DRIED FLOWERS
Time for a little fun! This is an easy creative project. Together we apply finish to the wood blocks. Then you select and arrange your own assortment of dried flowers and grasses. Complete the afternoon with a glass of wine and sweets on the house! A great way to kick off your weekend with a friend or two, max 8 spots available.

Two Classes Available:
Friday July 22,  3 – 5pm
Friday August 12,  3 – 5pm

MANTEL CLOCKS
A modern take on an old classic, these mantel clocks are simple and beautiful. Use my molds to pour your own cement base, with the option to add coloured pigment. Set the clock face, seal with finish and you’re done! This is a two week class, 8 spots available.

Class Times:
Saturday August 20, 10 – 12am
Saturday August 27, 10 – 12am

TEXTURED PILLOWS
If you’ve got a little sewing experience under your belt, come on back into the studio for a two week class on the beautiful textured pillows! These beauties are a blast to make. Choose from several patterns and make a pair of 18 x 18″ pillows, complete with zippers and feather inserts. 6 spots available

Items to bring:
– Sewing machine, straight stitch
– All purpose white thread

Class Times:
Wednesday August 3, 1 – 3pm
Wednesday August 10, 1 – 3pm

It’s been quite a journey this spring from finding the storefront for rent, working on renovations, grand opening and learning the ins and outs of running a shop. Things are still new around here but its coming! I’m sure there will be many twists and turns along the way but that’s part of the adventure. I’m happy to be a part of the business community on Talbot and supporting other shops as we transform our downtown.

Stop by anytime, I’d love to see you!
