Hello everyone, hope you have had a good summer! With Thanksgiving already behind us we are well in to fall. It’s always so beautiful this time of year, my pockets are usually full of leaves and other bits of interesting stems and seeds, they’re just the best, yes?

It’s been a bustling around here with lots of online orders and new wholesale shops. One of a Kind was a great opportunity for exposure within the maker and Canadian made communities, there are many lovely stores selling local and handmade. Here’s a list of some of the newest shops carrying my bags and home goods, maybe there’s one near you 🙂 Continue reading “Fall and a Giveaway”

Railway City Arts Crawl – year 2

It’s that time of year again, the Railway City Arts Crawl.  Although it was two weeks ago already, I think anytime is a good time to be inspired by art. And local at that!

It felt like there were quite a few more artists this year, or perhaps we just visited more locations than last year, I’m not sure. But along with some familiar friends there was also some new work that caught my eye.  Continue reading “Railway City Arts Crawl – year 2”

One of a Kind – here we come.

Yes it’s true, I’m going to be selling at the spring One of a Kind in Toronto! This is truly a dream come true. As you may have read from my previous posts I’m a huge fan of the show. Ever since discovering it for the first time back in 2015 I was in love with the place and dreamed of selling there one day. It came sooner than I thought!  The application process last fall was fairly extensive and when I got the news just before Christmas that I was accepted I nearly jumped out of my skin with excitement.

The Red Show

It was another “first time” experience for me this year – exhibiting art in a gallery. The Red show, curated by Elizabeth Kusinsky (an amazingly talented painter), took place at the Windjammer Inn in Port Stanley. It opened late November in time for the Christmas season. Elizabeth was only positive encouragement and support and welcomed me to participate. I couldn’t be luckier to try it out in a place like this.

bears, fawns and birds of prey

20161031_172900.jpg

It started with the usual pinterest search for halloween costume ideas. Somewhere along the way Abi got the idea of being a hawk or eagle. Bella fell in love with the beautiful sweet fawns and Eva didn’t even need to look at Pinterest, Continue reading “bears, fawns and birds of prey”

This week marks one year since I started my blog, opened my etsy shop and stepped in to the business of making and selling. In some ways its unbelievable a year has already passed but when I think of all that has happened I am surprised it has happened in only one year! Continue reading “One year”
